Effect of Methacrylic Acid in PNNPAM Microgels on the Catalytic Activity of Embedded Palladium Nanoparticles

Front Cover: In article number 2200045, Thomas Hellweg and co-workers describe the preparation of a variety PNNPAM-based microgels copolymerized with methacrylic acid loaded monodisperse catalytically active palladium nanoparticles. The leads to interesting pH- thermoresponsive properties gel particles shows ambivalent influences regarding catalytic activity embedded cover page TEM images system lowest highest amount presented in study. Both systems catalyze reduction 4-nitrophenol 4-aminophenol, at which more comonomer content drastically decreased reaction rate as compared low comonomer.
